I have received emails and phone calls from all over the world from parents, teachers and professionals who want to have coaching in the Nurtured Heart Approach© or who have wanted parenting advice or professional guidance. So, I've decided to expand my services to offer more online coaching.

In today’s hectic world, everyone is looking for quick fix. A phone consultation is NOT a quick fix, but it is a session with an expert who can give you direction and strategies to help you and your child. These sessions are for those who do not live locally or if face to face sessions are not possible. This coaching is not a replacement for therapy and I go into more detail when meeting with clients in my office.

 

These sessions are structured and designed to create appropriate boundaries and to give you the confidence to parent creatively & effectively, regain connections, decrease power struggles and bring more happiness into your home. You will learn ways to work with the most challenging children through The Nurtured Heart Approach© and I will be incorporating over 20 years of experience working with kids and their families as well as teachers,

 

I will look at your child or student through many different lenses and will offer recommendations in terms of referrals and strategies. Throughout our phone session, I will be typing recommendations, so I will have an overview of our discussion with appropriate recommendations emailed to you as soon as possible. I have been working with children, families and schools for over 20 years and understand all the systems and how they work.

Supervision:  I provide supervision for clinicians and those who are seeking the Registered Play Therapy credential. As an RPT-S, our supervision will count as supervision hours required to receive you RPT credential


Getting Started

 

1) Call 610-642-1144 or email me to set up your consult. We will then set up an appointment for a 50-minute call. I will send you instructions for Zoom or Skype.

 

2) You will then get a confirmation email with instructions.

 

3)  We will schedule a “meeting” with your time zone in mind so that it’s convenient for you. You will have the option to speak by phone, Skype or Zoom meeting.

 

I look forward to speaking with you and guiding you on this wonderful, yet challenging journey we call parenthood.

You will get a written report sent to you with feedback of the session including recommendations personalized to meet the needs of you, your child and family.

Important Risks to a Skype Session:

 

  • You must be aware of the security risks involved when using Skype. Skype allows sessions to be recorded that could be breached by another person.

  • Although, I value and respect your confidentiality, Skype cannot guarantee it in this high tech cyber world.

  • Once again, I reiterate that this session is NOT therapy but a consultation/parent coaching.

  • The sessions cannot be billable under your mental health plan, as I can only conduct mental health therapy in the state of Pennsylvania where I hold my license.
